ECO Council

Holy Evangelists' Primary School and Nursery Unit is very proud of its active Eco-Council. The Eco-Council meet every two weeks to discuss a variety of ways in which we can help make our school more environmentally friendly and to determine how we can continue to become increasingly environmentally aware.

This year we have re-evaluated our Eco-Code and are working to develop our curriculum even further. Our pupils are aware of their rights and the global sustainability goals.

We are working hard to help our local community and have partnered with many local groups to make a difference. This has included planting trees in the local area and litter picking along the river.

We are proud to have been awarded the prestigious Eco-Schools NI Green Flag award for our efforts. We are also a RHS School Gardening Level 5 school, a Woodland Trust Green Treet School Platinum Award recipient and are participating in the 2041 School campaign to help Antarctica.
